"SEND ME A POSTCARD" - CONVOCATÓRIA / CALL / APELL

Estamos perto do final do ano e quase a chegar às festividades natalícias. Como já foi hábito, enviavam-se por esta época os postais com os repetidos votos de "Um Feliz e Santo Natal" ou ainda, o menos católico mas não menos sentido, "Feliz Natal e Bom Ano Novo"...

Serve isto, para vos desafiar a retomarem esse demorado mas saudável costume de partilhar momentos, sentimentos e imagens, através dos serviços de correio.

E assim, lanço-vos aqui a proposta para colaborarem no projecto "ENVIA-ME UM POSTAL", que consta do seguinte:

- Durante os meses de Dezembro de 2011 até 31 de Outubro de 2012, Envia-me pelo menos um Postal (só fotografia) por mês (11 no total) em tamanho 10X15 cm, a cores ou a preto e branco, de preferência da tua autoria, para a seguinte morada:

PORTUGAL- No verso da fotografia e antes da direcção indicada, escreve à mão (evita imprimir):

"SEND ME A POSTCARD" - exhibition and book

- Podes se desejares, indicar o remetente, mas não te esqueças do selo com a tarifa correcta, pois não pagaremos a multa aplicável.- Para dar corpo à fotografia e tornar a obra menos quebradiça durante o manuseamento pelos serviços dos correios, aconselha-se a colagem da fotografia sobre uma cartolina Bristol ou cartão pluma fino antes de fazer o envio.

- Para este projecto, serão convidados fotógrafos de várias partes do mundo e com diferentes expressões artísticas e aos participantes está permitido divulgar e fazer convites aos seus amigos e contactos, sem necessidade de avisar a organização.

- Todos os trabalhos recebidos serão exibidos na exposição projectada.

- A inauguração da mostra terá lugar na Galeria do Colectivo f4 no dia 17 de Novembro de 2012, na cidade do Porto.

Simultâneamente será feita a apresentação do livro "Send me a Postcard" com obras dos autores que desejem ver os seus trabalhos publicados. Os custos de participação no livro serão indicados oportunamente.

Acreditando que este desafio será também do vosso agrado, fico a aguardar os primeiros postais e repetidas visitas do carteiro na PORTA 22 da Rua do Ferraz.

We are approaching Christmas and New Year‘s festivities. As it was usual a “long” time ago, cards with votes of "A Happy and Holy Christmas" or even the less Catholic but not less sincerely felt "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" were sent up by this time.

This intends to challenge you to get back to this healthy, though lengthy, habit of sharing moments, feelings and images by mail.

And so, here’s my proposal for you to collaborate in the project "SEND ME A POSTCARD". How does it work?

- During the months of December 2011 until October 31 2012, send me at least a postcard (photo only) a month (11 total) 10X15 cm size, color or black and white, preferably of your own, to the following address:

- At the back of the photo and before the address, handwrite (avoid printing):

"SEND ME A POSTCARD" - exhibition and book

- You can if you wish indicate the sender, but do not forget the stamp with the correct fee. We will not pay the fine if applicable.

- To make the picture stiff and less brittle during handling by the mail services, it is advisable to glue the picture onto thin lightweight cardboard before sending.

- For this project, photographers from around the world and with different artistic expressions will be invited. Participants can make invitations to their contacts, without the need to inform the organization.

- All entries received will be displayed in the projected exhibition.

- The opening of the exhibition will take place at the Collective f4 Gallery on November 17 2012, in Porto - Portugal.

Simultaneously the book “Send me a Postcard” will be launched with works by authors who wish to see their work published. The costs of participation in the book will be given in due time.

Believing that this challenge will also please you, I am waiting the first post and repeated visits of the postman at 22 Ferraz Street
